Mother’s Write - We Are The Unheard
We Are The Unheard proudly hosted the UK’s first songwriting camp dedicated to mothers in music. Funded by The Ivors Academy Trust and supported by Qube, the camp provided a much-needed space for mother songwriters and producers to collaborate, create, and connect.
Over the course of the programme, participants developed original songs, shared experiences, and explored the unique intersection of motherhood, creativity, and career. The camp fostered a supportive, inclusive environment where mothers from diverse backgrounds could develop their skills while being seen, heard, and valued. By bringing together industry professionals who understand the challenges of being a mum in music, the programme highlighted the urgent need for equity, visibility, and financial empowerment in the industry.
