    The Ultimate Studio Sessions 2025

    The Ultimate Studio Sessions is an end-to-end project for emerging songwriters, producers and artists developed by Cre8ing Visions and supported by The Ivors Academy Trust.

    In 2025/26, 20 creatives from London and 20 creatives from Manchester worked collaboratively across multiple studio sessions, songwriting workshops and industry workshops to produce original songs and gain new songwriting, composition, production and performance skills.

    The programme has fostered a strong sense of community and empowerment for the participants as they’ve seen the songwriting process from inception to completion.

    Mothers Write 2025

    Mothers Write is an innovative songwriting camp created by We Are Unheard, designed specifically for established and emerging mother-songwriters.

    Funded by The Ivors Academy Trust and supported by Qube, the initiative offers a supportive, inclusive space where mothers can collaborate, create music, and build industry connections.

    Building Blocks Belfast

    Building Blocks Belfast is a series of workshops designed to equip emerging musicians and songwriters with the skills, knowledge, and connections they need to thrive in today’s music industry.

    Through interactive sessions led by industry professionals, participants explore everything from songwriting and income generation to home studio production and industry trends.

    Song Academy

    Song Academy is the leading UK songwriting platform for young people, dedicated to helping them find their voice and build confidence through writing original songs.

    With a strong focus on lyricism and musical creativity, Song Academy empowers young talent to express themselves and connect with like-minded peers.

    The Ivors Academy Trust offered bursaries to support participants facing financial barriers to attend its transformative summer songwriting camp.

    In The Room 2022-2024

    In The Room is a advocacy and research development scheme for emerging songwriters and composers run by The Ivors Academy Trust in partnership with the Ivors Academy. The programme focuses on leadership, visibility, and paid research opportunities within the industry.

    Led by under-25 Academy Board Directors Hope Winter and Imogen Williams, participants gain the skills, mentorship, and experience needed to engage with influential music industry boards and advocate for the issues that matter most to their generation.

    TheWRD 2022-2024

    TheWRD is a groundbreaking education platform that opens access to the creative industries by combining insights from music industry leaders, expert educators, and innovative technology. The Ivors Academy Trust provided scholarships for songwriters and composers to complete a Diploma in Creative Entrepreneurship in Music.

    Designed to be inclusive and inclusive, TheWRD delivers career-defining arts education to aspiring creatives everywhere.

    Inside Track 2021-2024

    Inside Track is a year-long artist development programme founded by Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter and producer Cassell the Beatmaker in partnership with The Ivors Academy Trust, The Ivors Academy and PPL.

    The initiative supports music creators from underrepresented backgrounds or those facing significant barriers to entry, offering tailored creative and career development opportunities.

    Participants benefit from studio time, mentoring, industry networking, and career guidance, as well as a live showcase where they can exhibit their work.

    Writer Producer Fund 2018/2019

    The Writer Producer Fund, launched by PRS Foundation in association with The Ivors Academy Trust, supported songwriters and writer-producers working in popular music genres.

    The fund enabled recipients to develop their careers, grow their writing and production credits, and invest in their creative and professional development.

    David Ferguson Lectures

    The David Ferguson Lectures honour the legacy of one of Britain’s most successful television composers and passionate advocates for creator rights.

    The lectures provide a platform for thought leadership, exploring the major issues facing songwriters and composers today.

    The David Ferguson Lecture series has explored topics ranging from Music and The Climate Emergency, Creative Rights, Music and Mental Health, and The History of Hip Hop in the UK - with guest speakers such as Brian Eno, Ray BLK, Wretch 32 and many more.

    Transpose 2025

    The Ivors Academy Trust supported the first year of Transpose – a songwriting camp that aims to transform the music industry by equalising opportunities for trans creatives. Trans creatives face significant barriers in music, comparatively to cisgender contemporaries.

    Transpose 2025 involved 20 creatives over 3 days to generate a total of 9 original songs. This cultivated collaboration with trans allies to create a more inclusive paradigm in the music industry.

    Co-Pilot

    Co-Pilot was developed by Help Musicians and delivered in partnership with The Ivors Academy, funded by The Ivors Academy Trust and Universal Music Group.

    Co-Pilot is a voluntary network offering 8 hours of mentoring over 6 months Mentors are Mentors are members or friends of The Ivors Academy and employees of Universal Music Group.

    Mentees are Ivors Academy members and Help Musicians supported artists. In 2021, 100+ mentees were connected with mentors to further support their career and development.
